About Heather

Heather is a film photography purist. She describes shooting with film as a collaborative yet intimate process. She feels that film offers its own voice, providing unique color, grain, texture, and light. Because of her deep love and understanding of film, Heather is able to not only capture an image, but the emotion of the moment as well. Her work draws you in and Heather hopes the viewer leaves feeling connected to her soft and simplistic collections.

Heather has refined her style over the years. After receiving a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Film Photography at Utah State University, she worked in New York City as an assistant photographer in high fashion. She was also the manager of a prestigious film photography studio. She has been a wedding and family portrait photographer, but currently finds the most inspiration in photographing nature, especially while traveling with her husband and two beautiful daughters.
